A simple and fun indoor kids activity with Pinhole Press. Lets face it, the rain is going to start falling soon (if its not already where you live)  We are going to be stuck inside with the kiddos loosing their minds of bordem! This Pinhole Press Family Faces Sticker Book is so much fun!

Cal has not shown a ton of interest in coloring until about 6 months ago. I knew he would love the sticker book because it adds an extra element of fun with the personalized stickers. He was able to use his imagination and turn himself into anything he thought of.

We will definitely be ordering a few of these over the Holidays for friends and family as gifts!

You can order up to 8 images, choose a color for your booklet and customize the name on the outside. Calvin picked out the pink cover and wanted our last name. He has already drawn so many fun pictures. This one was named “Calvin and Archie’s orange halloween.”

He loved the rocket ship in the video tutorial on the Pinhole Press website, so he made one of his own. This was the first drawing he did when we received the the sticker book and I was pretty impressed.

I love photographing candid kids. Its probably my favorite  thing  to photograph, especially lately. I’m so excited to blog this session. I’ve been sooooo behind on blogging. Its really difficult for me to find the time to do it, but I really want to be doing it!  So, I am attempting to jump on a wagon of blogging at least one time a week and see how that goes. I have a major backload but I am going to start right here in the present… I was lucky enough to photograph these 5 cousins and their adults all together and it was so fun. There were many crying moments… but hey, 5 kids under 4, I think we did alright. Bubbles were used as a very high bargaining tactic and many of the crying moments were over those said bubbles. I think one of my favorite bubble shots ever came out of having those around, so in the end, that was a win. We started this session early in the morning at Land Park and Enzo (the littlest boy of walking age, with the white shirt) gave me a death stare as if to tell me I would never get a good shot of him during this session. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. He then quickly warmed up and was laughing in no time, but it did worry me at first. haha. We were able to get some pretty  fun and candid moments with a natural feel. I love giving them a little direction to make sure they have a good time during the session. You can see it in their faces. Harrison is the oldest boy and I have been shooting for his family since he was born so I was honored they wanted to bring me in to photograph the entire family. There are many many more great images but here are some of my favorites. 🙂

These preschool birthday portraits came out of pure luck. I knew for my sons 4th birthday I wanted his pictures to represent his hair that we have been growing out for what feels like a whole year! I got him to give me some “show me your muscle shots” and those were cute… but then he started shaking his head and the hair was flying around. The sunlight backlighting it was perfect and I was instantly in love with these shots. Perfectly highlighting his hair, and knowing I got a few great shots, we brought his brother in. Of course these two are super hard to capture together because one is always running away from where I need them to be…but we encouraged Archie to try and copy Calvin and show his muscles too…It was the cutest thing. He never actually got his arms above his head, but he was definitely tightening his arms and gritting his teeth. Haha. We were laughing, then he started laughing… and looking at Cal. Calvin held his tough face. Anyhow, this shoot took us all of 15 min? It was quick and easy and I am very much in love with how his preschool birthday portraits turned out this year.
